Abba Agri Consultancy was brought in as PWC’s Agricultural Consultant to provide technical expertise to the Smallholder Agribusiness Partnerships Programme (SAPP) to apply for funding from the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD).
Smallholder Agribusiness Partnerships Program is a program that facilitates rural smallholder farmers to build commercial partnerships, value chain development, provide access to finance, improve technical know-how and financial literacy, introduce mechanization to agriculture, and sustainable agricultural practices. The consultancy included identifying funding needs by carrying out site visits, developing business plans and supporting varying groups (from individual farmers to groups of farmers such as potato growers or rice farmers in rural villages)
Apart from that Abba Agri Consultancy provides consultancy to Keells and CBL Natural foods to get funding through SAPP for their out grower expansion program.
Abba Agri Consultancy has worked with PwC to evaluate a project proposal developed by UNHabitat under the funding of KOICA (Korean International Cooperation Agency).
