The Via Village Entrepreneur’s Center is situated in Northern Sri Lanka, an area severely affected by thirty years of civil unrest. The center supports villages in the area by nurturing their small businesses in growing and scaling for profit, specifically by focusing on the wider markets that are outside their own villages.
The mission of the program is to uplift livelihoods of the villagers by increasing their existing income levels through value-added farming or business improvements.
ABBA Agri Consultancy manages the Overall Enterprise Development program for the Via Village Entrepreneurs Center. This includes advisory services for farmers and entrepreneurs on:
- Market oriented crops identification and crop planning
- Business Evaluation, Planning and Forecasting
- Maintenance of Business Records and helping to obtain Business Registration
- Financial Management and Literacy, including securing funding
- Individual Business Coaching to provide tailored solutions
- Uplevelling Branding and Packaging to secure premium prices Provide linkages with state banks.
